Laughter Yoga

Laughing for no reason, but to laugh....what?

This is laughter yoga, it involves groups of people getting together to laugh unconditionally. It might feel a little silly to start with, but laughter yoga can help us to let go of this and enjoy having fun

The benefits of laughter are numerous:

  • Stress Reduction: By raising the endorphins

  • Emotional wellbeing: Suppressed emotions cause ongoing physical or mental pain. Laughter yoga helps to provide a effective release

  • Promotes peak performance: The brain requires 25% more oxygen than the rest of the body. The deep yoga breathing of Laughter yoga enables the brain to attain this

  • Enhances Creativity: The playfulness of laughter yoga frees right-brained thinking, the basis of creativity

  • Builds team spirit: Laughter connects people (Laughter Yoga International University, 2014)

Hula Hoop for Health - A Healthy Weight Week Event


Hula Hooping is a great way to get fit while having fun. With a little bit of music and a range of fun moves – hula hooping can get your heart rate up and work on your inner core muscles.
