Nutrition

Following graduating with her dietetics degree and training in Sports Nutrition, Anna has been providing nutrition counselling and advice for over 12 years. This includes providing;

  • Corporate health and wellbeing packages, such as for BAE Systems and Oil Search, with Compass Group Australia

  • Nutrition presentations, such as at the South Australian Institue of Sport

  • Individual nutrition consults on various topics, including, weight management, diabetes and nutritioinal deficiencies.

In addition, Anna is currently completing her PhD on nutrition behaviour change. The knowledge and experience she has gained she shares through the services on this website.

Mindfulness

With a strong interest in effective behaviour change, Anna has been on a journey to learn more in this area. Mindfulness is an important element of a healthy lifestyle as it can be used to overcome barriers in personality that might get in the way of making behavioural changes.

Exercise

Sports and being active have many benefits, including, socialising, the feel good effect, a healthy body and mind, challenging oneself and learning new skills. With a major in exercise science and experience with many sports, including, yoga, athletics, ultimate frisbee, tennis, swimming and cycling, Anna shares her love of exercise.

Fun and Play

Being free to create, play and have fun, are core values that Anna lives by and shares as a part of a healthy lifestyle. Music, improvisation theatre, dance, time in nature, sharing hula-hooping and facilitating laughter yoga, are a part of Anna's creative play, while she encourages individuals to find their own joy for a healthy lifestyle.

Learning from Village life

Over the last six years Anna has predominantly spent her time in Asia. This has involved volunteering and also working and conducting research with remote and economically disadvantaged communities. This has been a great insight into the hardships but also the simplicities of the village lifestyle and comparitively the opportunities but also the stresses and pressures of the modern lifestyles. The lessons learnt from these contexts underpin the counselling approach taken, of living true to self.
